Enzo Maresca Sign for Chelsea in a Five Year Deal!

In an unprecedented turn of events, Chelsea FC have officially acquired the services of Enzo Maresca from Leicester City FC for a contract that will span for five years period. Maresca who took over the affairs of Leicester city FC after their relegation from the English Premier League, winning the Championship and returning them back to the premier league is been considered on a long term.

The Chelsea board believe that Enzo can push the Blues into a promising project that will see them playing elite football at it's finest. The Chelsea football team has been through a number of shake up, uncertainty in the recent past. They current sit at the sixth position at the end of the 2023/2024, a feat that seemed impossible by the middle of the season having remained at tenth position for most of the season.

One would appreciate the effort the club owners are taking to restore the lost glory of the Blues in all ramification.

Thiago Motta Holds tears as he bids Bologna FC farewell

Everybody wants a piece of the cake 😍 especially when it is still fresh out of the oven and hot. Who wouldn't 😉

Juventus is a team that has struggled within the past couple of to maintain their title of leaders of the Italian football. Since the last time they won the Serie A, they have not been able to keep managers for long as they fail or do not meet up to the Juve standard. It has not been easy for the club and their fans .

A reason they will stop at nothing in getting the services of a wonderful coach like the underdog coaches we have heard about in recent times like Kompany, Xavi and Xabi Alonso. A reason why the rumours of Motta's signing seems realistic.

Thiago Motta had a interesting season with his Bologna side this 2023/2024 season, did some of the unthinkable things in recent times. They qualified for the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League season with two games to spare. A feat they have not been able to accomplish for the past fifty years. The last time they were ever at the top of the league was in 1964 when they won it and has struggled with relevance ever since.

Reason why Juventus board are thinking Motta who led this achievement could help restore the long gone glory of Juventus FC. This could be moment but this deal is still in the pipeline . . . fingers crossed!

Vincent Kompany is in Germany for Bayern?

Some of the news filtering in might sound shocking but the sports world especially in football have them surprises in record numbers.

There is news that Vincent Kompany is been considered for the top job of Bayern München's Head Coach. The news is not dying soon as it has remained in major news headlines in the past days.

What can we say?

Vincent Kompany as of now is the Head Coach of now relegated Burnley fc. The team gained promotion under Kompany's leadership in the championship. They have now being relegated the next season (2023/2024) down to the championship. It is then surprising how a major team with major trophies such as the Champions League as recent as three years ago, the Bundesliga trophies to seek the services of a coach whose recent job has been leading a team down from the Premier League to the Championship. How?

Somehow we have also seen underdog stories too; Xavi leading FC Barcelona in his first full season to win the Spanish La Liga, Xabi Alonso leading an almost trophyless Bayern Leverkusen to win the German Bundesliga and also doing so in fashionable manner. He led them to the title unbeaten throughout the 2023/2024 season and through a record 51 times through a span of 361 days. Incredible! They only lost for the first time to Atalanta FC in finals of the 2023/2024 Europa League season in Dublin.

The above scenarios gives one a reason to believe that if the deal happens, there will be a lot to watch out for and expect.

Xavi Hernandez Sacked!

Starting this blog with a sack letter 😒. Okay, this is not intentional but anyways that is the trending news at the moment.

FC Barcelona has released a statement this morning stating that the first team head coach Xavi Hernandez will not continue in his role again following a decision reached this morning with Xavi in attendance.

He has managed the side for the past three years with his biggest accomplishment during the period, the Spanish La Liga. Which they won last season. Barcelona has however not lived to expectations during the second half of the season with a leaking backline. Conceding a considerable number of goals. Most of the wins they had recently has always seen them come from behind to manage a win.

The coach's immediate response was felt after appointment with the fans giving him all the support as a former club legend. A Culer though and through. Hansi Flick is strongly tipped as the next successor. Fingers crossed

Read FC Barcelona's press release below:

Today Friday, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has informed Xavi Hernández that he will not be continuing as first team coach in the 2024-25 season.

The meeting happened at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and was also attended by sporting vice-president Rafa Yuste, director of sport Anderson Luís de Souza, Deco, Xavi, Òscar Hernández and Sergio Alegre.

FC Barcelona wishes to thank Xavi for his work as coach, as well as for his inimitable career as a player and as team captain, and wishes him every future success in the world.

Xavi Hernández will be coaching the team for the last time in Sunday's game away to Sevilla. During the course of the next few days, FC Barcelona will be making an announcement regarding the new first team structure.
