EURO 2024, The Intrigues

The second leg of the group stages is currently ongoing and we can say, we have been greatly entertained as usual. The first match between Germany, the host country and Scotland gave an unexpected introduction into the fans should expect during the competition.

It as sensational Six goal thriller with |Florian Wirtz coming in with the opening goal at 10 minutes and Jamal Musiala scoring the second at the nineteenth minutes. We saw the first and only red card so far in the game at the opening match. Ryan Porteus picked the red for a bad foul in the box and Kai Harvertz scored the resulting penalty kick.

Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can scored the fourth and fifth goals respectively with the only goal for Scotland came on the Eighty seventh minute from an own goal by Rudiger.

So far, Germany and Spain have both qualified for the next round having won two of their three group stage matches. They will need a win or draw to stay at the top of the table or might finish second on the log. In any case, their present in the next round is confirmed.

Kylian Mbappe sustained a serious nose injury during their one zero win over Austria in their first group game of the tourney. He has been seeing at training adorning a face/nose mask. It is yet unconfirmed if he will be allowed to wear it during the official matches. His French side faces a very strong team, in the Netherlands that managed a 2:1 victory over Poland in their first game. Both teams will be looking to offset each other to claim an early spot in the knockout stage.

I will get you the very details when the group stage matches has all been played. Who progresses and who did not make it. Fingers crossed.

On the recent events, the star studded Ream Madrid team in all it's glory was dismantled at home by AC Milan team. I believe nobody, not a single person saw this coming. The only goal they got in the match was a Penalty kick that was taken by Vinicius Jnr.  With the ever present Mike Maigan, the Madristas could not go past him as they were confronted by a firm wall. The goalie managed to Stop all the Madrid attackers including the Ballon dÓr runner up and also one of the best players, Mbappe. The goal keeper kept off a total of nine shots on target from the Real Madrid attack. The game ended three goals to one in favour of the Milan team.
